Bio: I joined the Department of Biostatistics in the Fall of 2012. I am a member of the Center for Cancer Biostatistics and the BioSocial Methods collaborative and the statistician lead for the Research Development Core at the Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR, the CTSA institute). My research focuses on the design and analysis of clinical trials, in particular sequential multiple assignment randomized trials (SMARTs). I have a Patient Centered Outcomes Research Initiative (PCORI) contract to improve methods for small sample SMARTs in the setting of rare diseases. I am interested in many collaborative areas including (breast) cancer, mental health and rare diseases. I also enjoy teaching biostatistics to non-statisticians: students and professionals, and I have formally taught Biostat 502 and PUBHLTH 383 in Public Health.
